If the market is testing a threshold price bouncing off a price it performs very badly as it sets the entry price right on top of the threshold causing the market to trigger it only to change direction or continue to be a sideways market.
It performs badly in a sideways market also but then again most advisers do. An improvement would be to add a margin so the entry price is moved away from a threshold; I currently have to drag them away slightly if I feel the market is going to test a price threshold. In conclusion, it's not bad; it's good for a strategy that's focused on small gains over a long period but loses a star due to me having to keep an eye on it and intervene when the market is testing a threshold and I've no option to mitigate that problem.
